ENROLLMENT & PAYMENT
TRIP COST DOES NOT INCLUDE:
REFUND POLICY
BCT does not provide medical
or cancellation insurance coverage for participants. Inexpensive policies that
cover both medical and tour cancellation are readily available. These
policies usually require that they be purchased as soon as you select your given
tour. It is your sole responsibility to make sure that your
existing medical coverage covers you whilst on your BCT tour. If not, it is your
responsibility to provide such coverage. BCT will not be help liable for any
medical emergency that may arise during a BCT tour for any reason. FORCE MAJEURE: Vestra Ventures Incorporated dba/British Country Tours acts only as agent for Carriers, Transportation Companies, hotels and all other contractors and therefore disclaims responsibility for any loss, damage, accidents, change of schedule, or other irregularities caused or arising from circumstances beyond their control. Vestra Ventures Incorporated dba/British Country Tours reserves the right to change the itinerary with or without notice or to cancel a program at any time in which case Vestra Ventures Incorporated dba/British Country Tours shall have no responsibility beyond the refund of all monies paid for the tour by participants and we shall not be liable for any claims, demands, losses and damages of any nature or kind whatsoever you may have by reason of our modification to, or cancellation of travel service. Any or all transportation companies involved in the tour shall have or incur no responsibility for liability to any traveler aside from their liability as common carriers. HEALTH: It is strongly suggested that all tour participants on a BCT tour be in good health as walking is a fundamental part of each of these vacations. We cannot access historic town centers/villages solely by our transportation. In some towns/villages vehicles of any size are not permitted into the center of town. BCT tours are not suitable for anyone with physical disabilities or restriction of movement. Hotels: We use good quality country hotels and inns. Keep in mind that you will be sorely disappointed if you are expecting your local Holiday Inn type room. Most of the hotels that we use are well in excess of 100 years old. All have been modernized over the years, but you will find uneven floors, small rooms, low ceilings, no air conditioning, and narrow hallways. We only book “en-suite” rooms which translates to a hotel room with a private bathroom. Meals: Breakfasts: Included in the cost of your tour. Lunches: Not included in your tour. You will have ample free time to have a lunch of your choice. Dinners: Not included in your tour. Rather than force you into a set hotel dinner each evening, we would rather give you the flexibility of choice of cuisine and location. No Smoking: All tours are non-smoking. However, there will be plenty of opportunity to ‘light up’. Most of our coach rides do not exceed one hour between stops. Local Currency: Credit card usage in England has caught up with the USA. It is by far the best way to purchase items during your trip. You will still need Sterling (British Pounds) for some items. Do not order through your local bank before your trip. You can change a dollar travelers check or dollar bills at your arrival airport, oftentimes while you are waiting for your luggage to appear on the carousel. Banks and ATM’s are situated in most every town and village. Passports/Travel Documents: It is important that you keep your important travel documents with you at all times. It is also a good idea to make a photocopy / computer scan, of all of your important travel documents. Leave one copy with your emergency contact person, and keep another copy with your luggage. In the remote possibility that you loose your passport while on tour, you will have much of the required information needed for a duplicate to be issued. Optional excursions: Your tour is all inclusive, meaning that everything is included as specified in the tour description, except those noted items such as meals. From time to time we may be able to arrange locally, at the last minute, extra events, such as theatre/concert visits, etc. The cost of these optional items, if any, should you choose to participate will be paid in local currency directly to our tour director or service provider. Airport Greeting: Our airport greeter/driver will stay at the airport for up to two hours after your flight has reached the gate, to give you ample time to claim luggage and clear customs. Our greeter will be holding a large clear BCT sign displaying your name(s) at the exit of the customs hall. If contact has not been made within two hours, we have no choice but to assume that you have missed your flight. Missed or delayed flights: If your inbound flight is delayed we will make every attempt to see that you are greeted and transported to your hotel. If you miss your inbound flight, for any reason whatsoever, it will be your responsibility to make your way to the hotel and join the tour. We will make every effort to deliver you to the airport in time to make your outbound flight home. BCT will not be held responsible for any delays whatsoever that cause you to miss your flight, and are not to held responsible for any resultant costs that you may incur due to any delay whatsoever. Coach / Car / MiniVan seating: Our policy, regardless of the tour size, is to have a different seating assignment each day. Luggage: Pack only what you need. Small tour groups use small vehicles, otherwise we would be unable to access 'off the beaten track' places. A smaller suite cases is better than one mammoth size that cannot be lifted by yourself. Luggage space is often limited. Old hotels have narrow hallways which are not well suited to oversized cases. It is worth remembering that your luggage will be much heavier on your return journey after you pack all of those souvenirs! Bathroom Breaks: We should never be far from a restroom. Most every English towns and villages have a “public convenience. ” The attractions we will visit will all have restrooms available. Medical Emergencies: Should you experience a medical emergency during the tour, we will do everything possible to accommodate your situation. The local doctor / hospital will require you to pay for your treatment expense. Your medical coverage that you purchased for trip will then reimburse you for covered expenditures. Medical facilities in England are excellent so you should have no worries. If you are currently on prescription medication, make sure that you bring enough to last the duration of your trip. If you wear glasses, a spare pair would no go amiss. Check with your credit card company - many premium cards do include complementary medical coverage when you are travelling. Wake up calls: Early morning starts are vary rare on a British Country Tour. Usually a breakfast around 8:00am with a hotel departure around 9:00am. Please arrange wake up calls directly with the hotel. Better still, bring a small travel clock. Late Comers: Your tour director will advise you of departure times, from your hotel in the morning, and from each venue that we will visit that day. Although we try to be flexible and not to make our tours regimented, there will always be a point of no return. It is unfair on your fellow travelers to make everyone wait on you. If you do not show for the next leg of our tour, it will be your responsibility to make it to our next location, hotel, or attraction to rejoin the tour. This will be at your own expense. Bad behavior / dismissal: Abusive, socially unacceptable, rude, and/or disruptive behavior on the part of a tour participant may result in dismissal from the tour. Our tour director will discuss any such behavior and issue a warning. If warnings are not heeded then you may be dismissed from the tour at your own expense. Necessities: Our tour director is equipped with basic necessities just in case you find yourself caught short with no store in sight. For example, bandaids, aspirins, toothpaste etc.
